Directions
- Cut onion into thin slices.
- Saute onion and butter in a pot, add a half cup water then cook it for 20 minutes.
- When the amount of water gets shortened and it turns brown, add 5 cup water and a cube of soup stock. Cook it for 10 minutes, removing scum off. Add salt to taste.
- Cut French bread into 1.5 cm thick pieces then bake them in a toaster. Serve onion soup with bread and smoked butter on top.
